Maxemail service was resumed after a database server failure affecting some customers.
A secondary issue was triggered by a large increase in connections to the primary authentication server, as web requests for affected clients stalled while attempting to connect to the unresponsive server. This prevented Maxemail from authorising any further user requests, affecting the UI, API and SMTP.
Any messages queued before the outage would have been successfully sent; message delivery was resumed once services were restarted.
